About Devil Pad

We're a professional automotive detailing business — detailing since 2001 and operating as Devil Pad since 2008. We work on many different types of vehicles from your typical daily driver to motorcycles, enclosed trailers, racecars, and even supercars. We've worked with all varieties of clientele, including high-end auto collectors. We've even had the privilege of working with automobile manufacturers: a commercial for Subaru, and two events with Volkswagen — a press event at their Tennessee factory, and the flagship of Pebble Beach Automotive Week, Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

If you're interested in getting your vehicle(s) detailed or are just curious about what we have to offer, get in touch for a free consultation — we're always happy to answer questions.

Detailing, Explained

The questions we get asked most often

What is Detailing?

Detailing refers to the meticulous process of cleaning, polishing, and rejuvenating all aspects of a vehicle, including its exterior paint, wheels, glass, and interior surfaces, with the goal of restoring it to a pristine, like-new condition by addressing dirt, imperfections, and protecting against future wear and deterioration.

Why have my vehicle detailed?

Having your vehicle detailed is beneficial because it restores and enhances its appearance, protects its surfaces from deterioration and contaminants, preserves its resale value, and improves your overall driving experience by ensuring a clean and comfortable interior, offering peace of mind and a more enjoyable ownership experience overall.

What are swirls, what causes them, and how do you correct them?

Swirls are the fine circular scratches you notice in direct sunlight — micro-marring in the paint, almost always caused by improper washing and drying. Correcting them means polishing the paint with the right products and technique to level those scratches out, restoring a smooth, glossy finish. Washing correctly afterward is what keeps them from coming back.

Do new cars require detailing?

While new cars often receive basic preparation at the dealership, additional detailing can address transportation-related imperfections to further enhance their appearance, protect the paint, and maintain the interior for long-term quality and enjoyment.

Are you a mobile service or do you have a physical location?

Currently, we operate as a mobile detailing service, bringing our expertise directly to you for your convenience — we just need access to power and water where your vehicle is parked. We're also exploring the possibility of opening a Devil Pad studio to offer additional services and accommodate more clients efficiently.

What areas do you serve?

We proudly serve Hollister, California, and its surrounding areas, as well as the broader San Francisco Bay Area, providing our mobile detailing services to clients across these regions for convenience and accessibility. Additional charges may apply based on distance of travel.

Does Devil Pad offer training or consulting services?

Yes, we are currently developing our official training program and will announce via our blog and social channels when it's out! As for consulting, please contact us to discuss your needs or have any questions.

How do I begin my detailing journey with Devil Pad?

It can be as simple as sending us a message with your vehicle and what you're after. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions first!
